On 9th July during the ceremonial final session the results of the eighth edition of BANRISK Game were announced. The competition was organized by Warsaw Institute of Banking.

Participants were teams representing various banks in Poland: PKO Bank Polski, Bank Zachodni WBK, Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej, Bank Millennium, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Bank Pocztowy and Eurobank. Each team was managing its own virtual bank and had ten decisions to make according to established strategy and mission. In the beginning, participants made two test decisions and participated in a training session. Next eight decisions had the influence on the stocks value of their virtual banks. The team with the highest share price obtained on virtual stock exchange won the competition.

„Basically, the course of the game was matched, however, it is necessary to add that after couple of rounds some banks stabilized their results and started to lead. Unfortunately, every bank had at least one foul-up mainly due to sudden macroeconomic conditions changes. But with the following sessions, all teams began to acquire practice in managing their banks and they professionally protected against risk, mainly interest rate risk..." - Roman Maszczyk, Main Expert of the Competition.

I place – KGB team (Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego)

II place – Jovenes del Banco team(Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej)

III place – Quattro Bank team (PKO BP SA)

Prizes were handed by sponsors and organizers of the BANRISK Game.

During the final session those teams that made the best presentation of their strategy were additionally rewarded by media patrons. Prizes were handed to Tener Bank (PKO BP SA) and Jovenes del Banco (BGŻ SA).
