Company History

StatConsulting was established in 2001 in Warsaw, Poland. The impulse to create the company came from the fact that noticeable progress in advanced information processing had been made over the previous years. The new developments provided the means to effectively model customer behavior using quantitative methods. This opened the possibility of offering specialized services in areas, which previously had been solely in the domain of academic research. In the first years of operation StatConsulting provided analytical services for the telecommunication and financial sectors. Drawing from the experience gained in those projects, in 2002 our programmers and analysts began working on software for data analysis and Data Mining.

In 2005 we opened the StatConsulting Training Center, where we offer training courses in the fields of data analysis, Data Mining and statistics.

In 2006 the company focused on providing services for current clients and on acquiring new ones; we began providing services to pharmaceutical companies. In the middle of 2006 StatConsulting introduced a software platform dedicated to advanced analytical projects: the AdvancedMiner application. It is based on the modules from Górnik System, which was designed as a software package for Data Mining purposes. At the same time we were intensely developing a new market risk management applications for the financial sector: StatOR, StatCR, StatMR, StatScore. As part of its strategic goals, StatConsulting broadened also its training offer by adding courses in credit risk estimation for small and medium sized businesses.

The rapid growth of StatConsulting is validated by the increasing demand for our services. In order to meet this demand we are consistently expanding our team. In 2006 the number of employees exceeded 50. One of our main focus areas is research and development. Every year more than fifty percent of the company's income is allocated to the development of our tools and solutions.
